Common questions

What is the term of a society managing committee and how is a no-confidence motion passed? व्यवस्थापन समितीचा कार्यकाल किती व अविश्वास ठराव कसा आणावा?

Short answer

An elected committee's term is 5 years from taking charge (bye-law 120). The chairman, secretary and treasurer are elected at the committee's first meeting. On notice by one-third of committee members, a special meeting chaired by the Registrar can remove an office-bearer by a two-thirds majority of members present and voting; the next such motion only after 6 months (bye-law 124).
